Kia Ora, my name is Nan Zheng, and I am thrilled to be joining the Kaiako team at Kingdomcity!

As a returning qualified teacher, I have followed my heart back to the early childhood field, a space I am truly passionate about. I believe that doing work we love brings real purpose and joy, and this is what drives me as a kaiako.

I am also a mother to my son, Sohum, who attends Kingdomcity childcare. Having experienced firsthand the warmth and care this community offers, I feel even more connected to the values of Kingdomcity. It’s been wonderful seeing Sohum thrive here, and I’m excited to contribute to the same nurturing environment.

I am deeply committed to seeing and nurturing each child as a unique individual. I believe that trustful and respectful relationships with children foster joyful, authentic interactions. For me, joy is an honest and present force that motivates us all—it encourages me to slow down, observe, and seek out meaningful inquiries.

It is through these inquiries that innovation is born, creating vibrant learning environments shaped by the valuable experiences and imaginations of both children and teachers. Together, we propel each other forward in this ever-changing world.
