My name is Anikah and I work in the under 2’s classroom! I come from a big Samoan and Scottish mixed family. I am currently a first-year student enrolled at Te Rito Maioha, pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Teaching (Early Childhood Education). I was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. I am the eldest child in my family and fortunately for me that means I have always been surrounded by young children. Since my early years of high school, I've harbored a keen interest in psychology, particularly in the realm of child psychology, and I remain committed to pursuing it in the future. Although I am still young, I've always found caring for children to be effortless and natural. Whether babysitting or spending time with family, I'm drawn to opportunities to nurture and support young ones. This passion drives my desire to pursue a career in early childhood education. On weekends, I enjoy spending time with my family, indulging in the delicious island dishes my nana lovingly prepares.
